CL FIRES

Happy New Year and let the fun and excitement begin. We are starting to plan our Fire Department and CL FIRE activities for 2012. Everyone is encouraged to become a CL FIRES member. CL FIRES is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt nonprofit charitable corporation. All memberships and donations are tax deductable.
CLFIRES announces the appointment of a new Board member and appreciate John Haack’s willingness to join us. It is with regret and sincere appreciation that we accept George Deaton’s resignation. He was a critical member of the organizing CL FIRES Board and helped tremendously to create this organization.
CL FIRES fund raising efforts will include a Book Sale on Memorial weekend and our Annual Fish Dinner on Labor Day weekend, Sunday, September 2, 2012. Be sure to check our website clfires.org and notices about these activities and other fun events.
The major fund raising activities for the CLVFD include the Memorial weekend Rummage Sale, Sunday May 27, 2012, the 4th of July food and CLVFD logo sales, and the Labor Day weekend CLVFD logo sales. The CLVFD personnel and families volunteer for these activities and many go above and beyond with their contributions. Doug and Tamla Blunt are of this caliber. They have given their time and contributions for many years. CL FIRES and the CLVFD sincerely thank them.
CL FIRES will be identifying and establishing ways to inform Crystal Lake’s property owners and community neighbors of information available to them about protecting their property and the forests that surround us. CL FIRES may award grants to the CLVFD and community groups who submit grant request applications which meet the criteria of CL FIRES mission as stated above.
